A Soundtrack for the Soul: Singing the Psalms with Wendell Kimbrough
Singer-songwriter Wendell Kimbrough will share fresh musical settings of psalms for congregational singing. These songs give voice to the full range of human emotion—from lament and judgment to hope and praise. Come ready to sing, reflect, and experience the depth of the psalms. Wendell will lead this session as part of the weekly worship service time for Calvin University students and community.
Calvin University Chapel Service: O Rest, My Soul
This chapel service at Calvin University will be led by the Calvin University Campus Choir under the direction of Dr. Mark Stover and the Woodlawn Choir directed by Chan Gyu Jang. Both choirs call Calvin’s campus their home, making this a unique opportunity to witness the rich musical and spiritual life rooted in this community. Developed in partnership with the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and the Calvin University School of Graduate and Continuing Studies, this online course equips worship planners and leaders of all types of ministries with practical tools for relating well to people from a variety of cultures. Understanding and respecting cultural differences is key to a healthy ministry.
