Unlike so many canned anecdotes, short stories are richly textured and as messy as life itself. In this interactive workshop we'll consider two short stories in particular and the possibilities for pairing them with biblical texts to see what creative sparks might fly. In preparation, participants were invited to read "God's Goodness" by Marjorie Kemper and "Cathedral" by Raymond Carver.

Presented at the 2010 Calvin Symposium on Worship.
