In many churches, efforts to support people with disabilities and their families focus narrowly on what happens in their buildings for a few hours Sunday morning. Although these investments are essential, most of our lives are lived beyond the church walls. This presentation focused on the multiple avenues through which the supports and relationships available within congregation can meet real needs in the lives of people with disabilities and their families throughout the week. We shared practical and powerful ways churches can support the flourishing of members with disabilities.
