CICW has awarded Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grants for over 20 years to teacher-scholars and worshiping communities in 45+ states and provinces and across 40+ denominations and traditions—including Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Pentecostal, non-denominational, and other Protestant communities.
While worship styles and practices vary greatly across these traditions, the grant projects typically explore at least one of CICW’s ten core convictions related to worship. Explore the hundreds of projects we’ve funded across both streams of the program.
Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
To establish a children’s choir, strengthenthe adult choir, and teach singing as a form of prayer in order to promote intergenerational participation in worship and faith formation.

To encourage Gen Alpha worshipers as active co-creators and leaders by developing an Innovation Leadership Lab that will strengthen participants’ theological foundations, worship skills, and spiritual practices while deepening intergenerational connections and trust through shared worship experiences.

To foster a more participatory, intergenerational, and spiritually formative worshiping community by equipping young adults to shape and lead worship practices.
FreeStyle Learning Foundation
To equip students to engage scripture, lead in worship, and express their faith creatively by developing a youth-led arts-based formation initiative that will nurture a generation of beloved, active worshipers whose praise strengthens the school, the congregation, and the home.
Mount of God Tabernacle Church
To more intentionally incorporate youth into the full life of the church by training them in the worship arts of music, singing, liturgical dance, and participatory worship leadership.
New Covenant Christian Fellowship Ministries
To help young people connect identity, creativity, and faith through an arts formation program that will help them to develop theological understanding and artistic excellence and give them opportunities to showcase their art in worship.

To foster children’s active participation in worship and provide a spiritual anchor for families affected by the Eaton Fire by positioning worship as a central site of continuity in times of trauma and teaching students a scriptural understanding of Armenian Christian worship songs and prayer practices.
