Shannan Baker

Shannan Baker is a postdoctoral research fellow in music and digital humanities at Baylor University, where she received her doctorate in church music. Dr. Baker's research focuses on contemporary worship—its theology, music, and practice in the church. She actively seeks ways to use her research to edify the church and is currently working on a grant-funded project to train church music students through contemporary worship workshops. Baker is a Michigan native who currently lives in Waco, Texas, where she serves on the worship team at her church.
