This is a question that David Bailey and the members of Urban Doxology have been exploring in the context of their diverse urban church, East End Fellowship, a community that endeavors to be a faithful presence seeking God’s joy and justice for their neighborhood out of love for Christ. In this workshop, they share the guiding principles of worship for their community to facilitate reconciliation across dividing lines. ‘Urban Doxology’ is a liturgy that includes preaching, music, and arts, and crosses boundaries in ethnicity, race, and class that prepares God’s people for the city of God.
