Angela is a student at Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She plans to integrate her gifts of speaking, writing, liturgical art and singing into the work God has outlined for her.
“I am a triumphant survivor of multiple sclerosis. Seventeen years of struggling with MS has taught me how to rejoice through suffering. All of the pain and sorrow that I refuse to let control me is transformed into the vibrant color of my work. Each piece is a ‘heart thing’ - an intimate expression of my love relationship with God. His mercy and forgiveness bleeds through the yellows and purples. His grace and sufficiency bursts from the deep greens, oranges, and royal blues. As I adjust filters I look for just the right contrast that radiates the awesome way God loves me. When I see it my soul is magnified and I am empowered to pick up my cross and take one more step for Jesus!”
