The annual Stob Lectures are sponsored by Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary in honor of Dr. Henry J. Stob and feature scholars from the fields of ethics, apologetics, and philosophical theology.
Jeremy Begbie teaches systematic theology at Duke Divinity School, and specializes in the interface between theology and the arts. His particular research interests are in the interplay between music and theology. He also directs Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts (DITA) which promotes a vibrant engagement between Christian theology and the arts. Most recently Dr. Begbie spoke at the 2014 January Series and Calvin Symposium on Worship.
Begbie is the co-author of Resonant Witness: Conversations Between Music and Theology (Eerdmans, 2011) and author of Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music (Baker Academic, 2007).
