The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship is providing support to worshiping communities to host Hymnfests. The purpose of this program is to promote singing the whole story of God and God’s people through vibrant congregational song and participation of all ages through a new resource: Lift Up Your Hearts.

Lift Up Your Hearts outlines the whole redemption history arc in two ways. The first section follows the biblical narrative from creation to new creation, including Christ’s life and the Christian year. The second section follows the order of worship, from God calling us to worship through God blessing and sending us out.

This hymn festival is being organized by Corban University and will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 770 Chemketa St, Salem, Oregon on February 20 at 7:30 pm. The theme of the Hymn Festival is Jesus, Our Friend and Savior, and includes Corban's orchestra and choir. It will be repeated the following night, February 21, at 7:30 pm PST. Doors will open at 7:00. It is free and open to the public.
