Forgiving Those Who Hurt Us
Directed by Cornelius Plantinga, Jr., Calvin College, this academic summer seminar sponsored by Seminars at Calvin addresses issues in regards to forgiveness.

The commandment to forgive is stringent in the New Testament, including by Jesus. But what, exactly, do we do when we forgive? What's involved in the "craft" of forgiveness? Do we forgive for the sake of the offender or for our own sake, so we can sleep nights? And, not least, why is the command so stringent? The seminar, guided by key readings, will address such questions, and others, on the way to clarifying forgiveness, a central part of good spiritual hygiene.
