Location:

Join this lively conversation with Swee Hong Lim, Deer Park Assistant Professor of Sacred Music at Emmanuel College, and John Witvliet, director of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. Swee Hong is a widely traveled leader for global seminars and conferences dealing with worship and sacred music. He is well-published in global music, including Giving Voices to Asian Christians, and he is a prolific composer of hymnody.

Swee Hong Lim’s new book is Lovin’ on Jesus: A Concise History of Contemporary Worship (Abingdon Press, 2017), co-authored with Lester Ruth. Swee Hong also serves as both the director of the Master of Sacred Music Program and of the Chapel for the worship life of Emmanuel College.

Please join us in the Meeter Center Lecture Lecture Hall at Calvin College. Refreshments will be provided. Each attendee will be given a copy of Swee Hong's new book -- while supplies last. The conversation will be audio recorded.
