La Verne Tolbert

La Verne Tolbert is vice president of editorial for Urban Ministries, Inc (UMI), based in Chicago—the largest Christian publishing company serving churches and consumers in the African American community. UMI provides curriculum for Bible study, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and many other resources. She is the author of Teaching Like Jesus: A Practical Guide to Christian Education in Your Church (Zondervan, 2000).
