Wally Brath
Dr. Wally Brath is professor for worship arts at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. He designed and launched the worship arts program there to train young people for worship ministry and music production (grace.edu/programs/worship-arts/). He also developed a master’s program in worship leadership offered through the seminary.
Brath holds a doctorate from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies, a master’s in ethnomusicology from Liberty University, and a bachelor of arts piano performance from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He has been a worship pastor in churches ranging from church plants through Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois.
Brath is passionate about helping the global church embrace worship as discipleship (Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi). Through teaching, worship leading, and songwriting, he desires to skillfully combine biblical truth with music to magnify the worth of God and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Brath has been married to Shana for thirty-one years and has three children. He enjoys playing music with his family, mountain biking, and traveling overseas. You can hear his latest project, "Connexion: A Jazz Psalter," on all streaming platforms (wallybrathmusic.com).
