Peter Levenstrong
Rev. Peter Levenstrong serves as the Associate Rector at Saint Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco. His ministry is rooted in fostering human connection through innovative worship, storytelling, and engagement with the changing religious and technological landscape. He is passionate about adapting ancient Christian traditions for contemporary contexts, ensuring all generations feel a sense of belonging in the life of the church.
Peter is the creator of Living Stories, a new homiletical method that transforms the traditional Liturgy of the Word into a dynamic, intergenerational storytelling experience. Inspired by Montessori and Godly Play traditions, Living Stories engages participants of all ages in co-creating sermons through tactile storytelling and open-ended questions.
Peter lives in Oakland with his wife, Kaitlin, and their young son, Caspian. He enjoys spending time with his family, listening to audiobooks, and relaxing over board games with friends.
