Osvaldo Padilla

Osvaldo Padilla is a professor of divinity with a concentration on New Testament and theology at Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. He has taught at Beeson for more than fifteen years. He is author of The Speeches of Outsiders in the Acts of the Apostles (Cambridge University Press), The Acts of the Apostles: Interpretation, History and Theology (IVP Academic), and The Pastoral Epistles (IVP Academic).  He is a co-editor of The New Testament in Color (IVP Academic) with Janette Ok, Amy Peeler, and chief editor Esau McCaulley. Padilla is a member of a number of societies, including The Society of New Testament Studies (SNTS). A native of the Dominican Republic, he is a member at The Cathedral Church of the Advent (Episcopal), Birmingham, Alabama. He is married to Kristen, also an author, and they have one son, Philip.
