Profiles

The Rev. Iona Dickinson has been serving as pastor at University City United Church in San Diego, California, since 2015. She has more than two decades of pastoral experience and has a love for experiential worship, small group conversation, and teaching. 

Dickinson previously served as pastor at Delmar United Methodist Church outside of Albany, New York, and at Claremont (Calif.) United Church of Christ. She has degrees in environmental science and religious studies from Allegheny College and a Master of Divinity from the Claremont School of Theology.

When she’s not at church, you will likely find Dickinson spending time with her spouse, Phil, and their two daughters, reading, cooking, dreaming about upcoming travel opportunities, or walking her dog, Chesa.
