All Creation’s Wonders Praise - A Festival of Psalms: November 3, 2012, 7:00PM
Psalmfest is a festival of singing, celebrating the release of the new publication Psalms for All Seasons: A Complete Psalter for Worship. Together we will explore the full spectrum of singing the psalms crossing boundaries of time and tradition. At one point in history, Psalms were the only acceptable form of sung worship in the church. While we have been liberated from this restriction, there is still much to learn and enjoy from this ancient text. Christian communities from around the world continue to produce new musical settings on the Psalms, and we are able to join with our brothers and sisters from the nations in celebrating these sung scriptures.
Dr. Martin Tel, Director of Music at Princeton Theological Seminary, has long been a champion for the singing of Psalms. He and the Princeton Theological Seminary Touring Choir along with Carole Huston and Michael Devine witll lead this Psalmfest.
Held at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church, Mclean, VA. This festival is free and open to the public.
