Dr. Martin Tel, senior editor of the newly-released Psalms for All Seasons: A Complete Psalter for Worship and C.F. Seabrook Director of Music at Princeton Theological Seminary, will lead the series, “Psalms for All Seasons: An exploration of the Psalter as teacher of song and prayer,” July 8 through 11 at the third Delaware Valley Summer Institute hosted by the Presbyterian churches in Stockton, Lambertville, Titusville, and Mt. Airy, New Jersey.
Participants in the four-night series will sing through many settings of the Psalms as they have been used by cultures around the world to pray, to celebrate, and to grieve. Among the selections will be Psalm settings from John Calvin’s “Genevan Psalter,” Scotland’s Iona Community, and African, African American, and Asian churches and cultures.
Free and open to the public.
