Marshall E. Hatch

Rev. Dr. Marshall Hatch has been the pastor of New Mount Pilgrim Church since 1993. He serves on the boards of the Leaders Network Credit Union, Sankofa Wellness Village, and co-founded the MAAFA Redemption Project for at risk young men. His congregation is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago, the National Baptist Convention, USA, and the National Action Network. He holds a DMin and MA in Theological Studies from McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago), as well as a MA in Government from Georgetown University (Washington, DC). He is presently Professor of Ministry at Northern Seminary. His newest book, “Cornerstones: Eulogies of Black Lives That Mattered”, will be published in the winter of 2022. He and his wife Priscilla have four children and five grandchildren.
