Kate Strater

Kate E. Strater, Ed.D., is an assistant professor of education at Calvin University and the program director for Life and Career Studies, an inclusive postsecondary education program for college students with intellectual disability. Prior to joining Calvin University in 2019, she served as the director of special education for the Beechwood Independent School District in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. She also worked as a service coordinator with the Boone County Schools for more than ten years, gaining extensive experience in providing education and transition services alongside students with disability.
