Todd Deatherage

Todd Deatherage is the cofounder of Telos, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit dedicated to the formation of communities of American peacemakers across lines of difference to bring healing to conflict at home and abroad. Telos’s primary focus has been on America’s relationship to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but more recently it has developed programming to address issues of racial injustice in the United States.

Deatherage previously worked at the US Department of State in the Office of International Religious Freedom and the Secretary of State’s Office of Policy Planning. Before that he spent a decade on Capitol Hill, including six years as the chief of staff to Senator Tim Hutchinson. He is a native Arkansan and graduate of the University of Arkansas who began his career as an educator. He and his wife, Judi, have four adult children and live in Annandale, Virginia.
