Fr Dennis E. Tamburello

Dennis E. Tamburello is a professor of religious studies at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, where he teaches courses in theology, the history of Christianity, and ecumenical and interfaith dialogue. Fr. Tamburello earned a doctorate in historical theology at the University of Chicago in 1990. He is the author of Union with Christ: John Calvin and the Mysticism of St. Bernard (Westminster John Knox Press, 1994), Ordinary Mysticism (Paulist Press, 1996), and Bernard of Clairvaux: Essential Writings (Crossroad Publishing Co., 2000). He is currently co-authoring a book manuscript with Rev. Dr. Ronald Feenstra entitled Learning From One Another: A Resource for Reformed-Roman Catholic Dialogue. From 2003–10, he was a member of the Catholic delegation for the seventh round of the national Reformed-Roman Catholic Ecumenical Dialogue, which focused on the meaning of baptism and the Eucharist. From 2013–17 he participated in the eighth round, which focused on ecclesiology, particularly ministry and authority. He is currently serving in the ninth round, the topic of which is justice and justification.
