Studying Worship on Seminary Campuses: Theoretical Exploration

This article takes a look at the theological perspectives in worship on a seminary campus

Worship at seminaries embodies a multitude of liturgical, ecclesiological, and theological perspectives.  The Latin dictum lex orandi lex credendi points to the dynamic connection between what a community says it believes and the way its prayer life expresses its belief.

These sorts of observations lead naturally to theoretical and theological exploration of the issues surrounding worship in seminary communities.

As a preliminary guide to that exploration, you will find an annotated bibliography of research related to seminary worship and reflections on the Seminary Chapel colloquium from some of its participants. Also see WorshipHelps for additional questions and topics to spark a conversation about seminary worship.
