Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.
And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20
Quiet Reflection
Prayer
Triune God,
You commissioned us to go and make disciples of all nations.
Guide us, by your Spirit, in this call,
that we may become more effective representatives of your holy Word,
and show others the way to You.
Help us see the way forward when circumstances become hard,
and enable us to discern well and rightly when the way is not apparent,
that we may be examples of the goodness of Christ to the world.
In the authority of the Father,
the guidance of the Son,
and the eternal presence of the Spirit,
Amen.

Now when all the people were baptized,
and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying,
the heaven was opened,

Prayer
Eternal Father,
who at the baptism of Jesus revealed him to be your Son,
anointing him with the Holy Spirit:
grant to us, who are born again by water and the Spirit,
that we may be faithful to our calling as your adopted children;
through Jesus Christ our Lord;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
