Lindsay Wieland Capel

Lindsay Wieland Capel helps churches become more accessible and welcoming to people with disabilities through her role with Thrive, a collaboration of agencies of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Together with the Reformed Church in America, its goal is churches where everybody belongs and everybody serves. Capel, LMSW, previously worked for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, where she educated others within health care about mental health and maternal mental health. She has worked with people with disabilities in a variety of settings and is passionate about bringing about systemic changes that improve the lives of individuals. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago (MSW) and from Calvin University (BSW).
