“Come, Spirit of Christ!”: The Holy Spirit in Planning Worship for Holy Week
Holy Week is an invitation to share in the passion of Christ. But how do we share in Christ's passion today, and how do we enact that liturgically during Holy Week? This workshop uses insights from the field of Spirit Christology, which looks at the Holy Spirit's role in Jesus' life, to discern and pray for the movement of the Spirit of Christ in our lives. Based on his book Sculptor Spirit, the presenter proposes five ways in which the Spirit shapes Christ in and through us as we share in his life during Holy Week. We will reflect on how worship can invite participants into the Spirit's work of forming us into repentant, resilient, sacrificial, hospitable, and devoted people.
