Rev. Dr. John McClure is the Charles G. Finney Professor of Preaching and Worship at Vanderbilt Divinity School, where he explores the relationships among philosophy, theology, ethics, popular culture, and preaching and worship. He is the author of more than ten books and the past president of the Academy of Homiletics. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), McClure previously taught preaching at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He has a PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, and an MPhil from the University of Glasgow.
