Rev. Ernest A. Brooks III

Rev. Ernest A Brooks III is president and CEO of the Academy of Preachers, an ecumenical nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring young people in their call to gospel preaching. He has been involved with the Academy of Preachers since 2010, when he participated in its first National Festival of Young Preachers. An ordained Baptist minister, Brooks previously pastored a church in Williamston, North Carolina, and served as assistant dean of the chapel at Morehouse College, where he earned a BA. He has an MDiv from Duke Divinity School and an MA from the University of Chicago Divinity School.
