Visalia Christian Reformed Church in Visalia, CA is seeking a Director of Worship and Music (DWM). The worship leader will work closely with our pastors to cultivate worship services and worship teams that help lead our congregation to see and savor the greatness of God in Jesus Christ, in the power of the Spirit. The worship leader will foster dynamic congregational worship, with a blended style of historical hymns and contemporary praise songs. We are seeking someone who is called and gifted by God to fulfill the responsibilities of planning weekly Sunday worship services, modeling and leading heartfelt worship with a lead instrument, recruiting, auditioning, teaching and training musicians in the church. This full time position reports to the Senior Pastor and qualified applicants will possess a combination of education and experience in leading church worship.
Worship Music Intern at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, MI
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church is a generationally diverse congregation, with an emphasis on faith-forming worship and teaching. During the school year there are monthly inter-generational events, many small groups and bible studies, and service projects. Music ministries include an adult choir and contemporary worship team. St. Luke’s offers three worship services in three styles, traditional, blended and contemporary, and all services are liturgical in form. An intern at St. Luke’s would have a unique opportunity to learn from a congregational that incorporates multiple musical styles in worship, from traditional hymns and liturgical settings to world music, folk music, gospel and contemporary/modern music. Duties include accompany congregational singing in worship services , prepare and perform service music, sing in choir and/or accompany choir , play/sing with contemporary worship team and meet with Director of Music Ministries regularly .
