Worship Convergence Seminar


Greg Scheer of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship will lead a seminar about Worship Convergence 2.0, the Psalms in Modern Worship, and the seven deadly sins of choosing music for worship.

8:30-9:00 arrival and registration

9:00-12:00 Worship Convergence 2.0
(15 minute break during morning session)

12:00-1:00 Lunch and fellowship break

1:00-2:30 The Psalms in Modern Worship

2:45- 4:00 The Seven Deadly Sins of Choosing Music for Worship

About Greg Scheer

Greg Scheer is a member of Broadcast Music Incorporated, the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers, LicenSing, and Christian Copyright Licensing International. In 1993 he received an MA in composition and theory from the University of Pittsburgh. Since then he has served at Bellefield Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Wildwood Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, and Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. At present he, his wife Amy, and their sons Simon and Theo live in Grand Rapids, Michigan where Greg is Minister of Worship at Church of the Servant and Music Associate at the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship.
