A Hymn Festival around the Service for the Lord’s Day

The Association for Reformed and Liturgical Worship invites the public to join them at a Hymn Festival on July 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MI.

The hymn festival will follow the Basic Movement of the Service for the Lord’s Day. Congregational songs, hymns, and choir anthems will focus on Gathering, Confession, The Word, Baptism, Eucharist, Benediction and Sending. 

The festival choir will be joined by The Choral Scholars, one of West Michigan's premiere chamber ensembles. The conductor of the festival choir is Sean Ivory, adjunct professor, music instructor, and the director of the Grand Rapids Symphony Youth chorus. Christopher Dekker is the organist for the service. He is currently the director of Worship and Music at Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church in Hudsonville, MI and is working on a doctorate in organ at the University of Notre Dame.
